Today was a day of dispair in the little beach community where I live 'Mt Maunganui'. Instead of kilometres of sandy white beaches, we now have kilometres of oily sludge due to a stricken vessel just off the coastline....
These photos were taken the day before it happened, Lisa & Nathan were lucky to enjoy an afternoon on the beach before it all changed....
I'm really looking forward to their wedding very soon, my first of the season - can't wait! x

Engagement Session Sarah & Oliver -Auckland
Sarah & Oliver's Engagement session was really exciting for me as I got to shoot in a brand new venue - Auckland Domain, I was like a chicken with it's head cut off as I hurried them all over the place trying to maximise this devine location, they are getting married next year at another gorgeous location which I am also photographing so watch this space...!

Commercial - Willow Therapeutic
I thought I would post these pictures because - I like them! But also to tell everyone about this gorgeous little gem based in Willow Street in Tauranga, Georgia operates out of Rejuv Beauty Therapy clinic, she specializes in relaxation and therapeutic massage, but also caters for pregnancy and a whole lot more. I was trying to work out how I could be the model and the photographer for this shoot but unfortunately someone else got to lie on the table!

Portrait - Gawith Girls
When Geraldine asked me to take her portraits I was justifiably nervous - she is also a professional photographer. But as most photographers would agree, she has very little photos of her with her two girls May & Anita. I decided to approach this shoot a little differently, with more of a doco style, this shoot was about capturing a day in the life of the Gawith Girls...lets hope Daddy doesn't stumble across my blog before fathers day....

Commercial - Restaurant opening "The Drawing Room"
The Drawing Room has hit the nail on the head. A warm, darkly panelled space dotted with locally commissioned artwork and lots of gorgeous touches like the handsome elephant on the bar, feather boa fringed mirror and black and crystal chandeliers. With a love of seafood, chef Trent Clarke has created a menu which makes it very hard to narrow choices to just one thing. My favourite's the fried squid with orange caramel and pickled ginger. Have a look at the photos of the launch night. Delectable champagne cocktails and plenty of tasters of the menu made me feel like I've got the best job in the world. Congratulations Zak and Trent, I look forward to coming back soon.

A Beautiful Family...
It's never easy getting more than two people to look at the camera simultaneously, especially if some of them are under 5, so I thought I would share this extended family portrait I took a few weeks back, 'thankyou' to the Harris family for looking into my lens at exactly the same time!!!
